Crafted through a blend of floss silk and cotton, the fabric’s texture is remarkably smooth, suggesting a meticulous attention to detail during the weaving process. The lustrous sheen of the material is a hallmark of the silk’s natural properties, further enhanced by the weaver’s adept handling.

The fabric presents a series of stripes, alternating in hues of deep red and white. Each stripe is a canvas for the weaver’s skill, with the reds exuding a richness indicative of the high-quality floss silk used, while the whites provide a stark contrast that accentuates the intricate designs woven within.

One yard of fabric measures 36” long, and multiple yards is cut as a continuous length.

Traditionally Kutnu fabric is made around 20”-25”wide for local market in Turkey due to it requires intensive labor to woven it.
